Techno Q has received a major international award at ‘Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2013’, Europe’s premier trade show for Professional AV and Electronic Systems Integration technologies held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

As part of the InAVation Awards and Charity Gala Dinner, the EMEA region’s only AV industry awards event — which takes place the evening prior to the close of ISE trade show, recognises and celebrates pro AV technology and integration — Techno Q won the title of the Most InAVative Public Sector Facility for the QNCC project entry.Other finalists competing for the award in the same project category along with Techno Q were Great Western Ambulances HART facility, UK, Moscow government conference halls, Russia, and NHS Rotherham, UK.

The Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), which opened in December 2011, is located in Qatar Foundation’s 2,500-acre Education City in Doha. Techno Q completed one of the largest ever single A/V projects in Qatar to date with the handover of Phase II of the building. The scope of the project included audiovisual and complete control systems for exhibition halls, meeting rooms, hospitality suites; VVIP lounges the connecting public spaces and took a team of 60 engineers and technicians based on site nearly two years to complete. Techno Q’s Executive Director, Abdulla Alansari explained that each area demanded the highest standards of technology available and saw a selection of brands chosen specifically due to their quality and international reputation.

“As one of the largest and most technologically advanced convention centres in the world, the Qatar National Convention Centre was an ideal project that demonstrated without a shadow of doubt Techno Q’s capabilities in the programming and implementation of such a mammoth task. The very latest technology was used, and I have no doubt that this building will be future-proof for many years to come,” Mr. Alansari concluded.
